Review - Crisco One Cup Stick

I received a free full product coupon from Shopper Army to try out Crisco's One Cup Stick. I love an excuse to bake! Although, I didn't expect that I would be sick the entirety of this campaign which made baking was a little more of a chore than usual. I also did not realize that I was out of pie plates when I was in the grocery store. That's okay! There is nothing wrong with rectangle pies. They might not be as beautiful; but they still taste the same.

First of all, I really like having the option of a premeasured shortening. Not that I mind measuring it myself, but truthfully I don't buy a lot of shortening. I usually use butter/margarine or oil. Having the option of shortening in appropriate sizes for whatever I'm baking actually encourages me to use the product.

The shortening comes with a measurement guide on the side. On the off chance that your recipe calls for less than a cup of shortening, Crisco has removed all the guess work and much of the mess. It even comes with a plastic container and lid so you can seal up any unused portions. It's a great idea; but it is also a little excessive in regards to packaging.

The quality is what you might expect from a Crisco product; the pie is fluffy and tastes delicious. Actually, the taste was almost nostalgic for me. It brought back memories of my mother's baking.

Disclaimer: I received this product free from Shopper Army so I could try it out and share my experiences. All opinions are my own.
