US/CAN - #Win a copy of #DarkShadows on DVD

Warner Brothers is pleased to announce the release of Dark Shadows featuring Johnny Depp on DVD and Blue Ray. I am personally a huge fan of Tim Burton films and his vivid use of color and imagination, not to mention Johnny Depp is one heck of a character actor. Dark Shadows is based upon the classic television series that aired from 1966 - 1971 featuring a character named Barnabas Collins. The original television role  was played by an actor named Jonathan Frid.

To celebrate the release of the film Warner Brothers has also made this neat little Dark Shadows blog app. I encourage all of you to explore it. You can take the 'Are you Creepy Enough Quiz' to determine whether you are a child of the night or quiver at the mere thought of anything frightful. The app also includes a '3 Truths and a Lie' trivia game all about Barnabas Collins.

I haven't seen the film yet but I am excited to catch a glimpse over the spooky season with a bowl full of popcorn. In the meantime, I have a copy of the Dark Shadows DVD to give away to one lucky reader. Giveaway is opened to residents of Canada and the US with a valid street address. No P.O. Boxes please.

US/CAN/UK - #Win a copy of "Coven" by Diane Wing

You may remember my review of "The True Nature of Tarot" by Diane Wing. I recently received a copy of her novel Coven: The Scrolls of the Four Winds. The story begins in ancient Mesopotamia with a powerful coven of 4 women known as the Triad Witches. Fast forward to present day, the Triad Witches have reincarnated together over many lifetimes; although mostly unaware of the ties that bind them. The sisters undergo a process of awakening and embark on a journey together, protectors of the Scrolls of the Four Winds.

I really enjoy Diane's writing style a great deal. Her use of description paints a very detailed scene that is remarkably easy to visualize. It is as though she has taken you by the hand and brought you to each individual scene allowing you to witness the story first hand. She is very good at describing everything eloquently as her inner eye sees it and conveying that image to the reader.

This book is not only a beautifully crafted story, it also comes filled with lots of useful knowledge that can be applied to create light where there is shadow. There are a couple of chapters at the end of the book that I recommend that everyone go back and reflect upon occasionally. I've gone back and read it 3 times already. The information is highly beneficial and resonates with me strongly. Which brings me to another thing I love about Diane's work, she pours her heart and essence into her writing. I can only respond to that with love, love and more love.

This book serves as a reminder of the power of forgiveness and self acceptance.

I have 1 copy of Coven: The Scrolls of the Four Winds to giveaway to one lucky reader. This giveaway is open to residents of the United States, Canada and the UK.
